We need relationships, but they’re not easy

Forming, nurturing and sustaining relationships is an important aspect of being human. How we relate to others is deeply affected by our past experiences. We all bring hopes, expectations, anxieties and idiosyncratic behaviours into every relationship we have. It’s no surprise, then, that when two people come together, there can be friction and clashes.

Whether you want help with existing relationships or you struggle to form relationships, we can help. Relationship counselling needn’t focus on intimate relationships: it can help with all kinds of relationships, with friends, family, colleagues and others.

Common relationship problems

Our therapists will not judge you for the problems you are having. They see clients with all sorts of relationship issues, including:

  • power imbalances
  • financial disagreements
  • parenting differences
  • lack of affection
  • problems with intimacy and sex
  • one person wanting more time together than the other
  • inadequate boundaries
  • losing interest in relationships
  • habitual relationship patterns.

Affordable support to suit you

Individual therapy is suitable if you want to explore your relationship issues on your own. Your therapist will help you to understand how your past experiences influence your relationships, and how you can change that.

Please note: we do not offer couples counselling, our therapists only see individuals.

Making your first appointment

You may be unsure about the best way forward. Don’t worry. At your confidential initial consultation, one of our fully-qualified therapists will discuss your options, and together you can decide your next step.

When you choose individual therapy, your reduced-fee sessions will be offered by a trainee therapist who has been carefully chosen for their maturity, expertise and compassion.

Appointments are available seven days a week. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Many people get help through affordable therapy in central London.
